The 39-year-old Janesville woman accused of firing off a gun after getting into a disturbance at a local tavern last week is free on a signature bond.

Jamie B. Payton is charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery, disorderly conduct, and operating a firearm while intoxicated.

Janesville police say officers were called to a sports bar in the 200 block of West Milwaukee Street about 11:00 o’clock the night of February 8th.

Officers say two women had attacked the bartender.

Shortly after, Payton is accused of firing several shots in a near by alley, with one round hitting a residence.

She’s due back in court on March 1st.
