It appears a plea agreement has been reached in the case of a 19-year-old Janesville man accused of stabbing his blind father’s caretaker almost to death.
Asher Spitz plead not guilty by reason of insanity to a single charge of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in November.
A plea and sentencing has been set for 1:30 p.m. on March 10th.
According to the criminal complaint, Spitz lured the 19-year-old victim into the basement of a home on North Orborne Avenue on October 19th, under the guise he need help with laundry.
Spitz is then accused of stabbing the woman multiple times because, “voices in his head,” told him to.
He’s currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $500,000 cash bond.
