A 29-year-old Beloit man whose own father went to prison when he was 12 is going away for 15 years.
Kewane Spence was found guilty of three counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety and possession of a firearm by a felon by a Rock County jury following a two day trial in October.
Judge Karl Hanson sentenced Spence Thursday morning to a total of five years in prison, and five years of extended supervision on each of the first three counts, to be served consecutively.
Sentence was withheld on the gun charge.
According to the criminal complaint, Spence waved a gun and fired one bullet at a car full of people who were fleeing a party as a fight was about to break out in May of 2022.
