A Beloit man who was arrested on dozens of drug charges while out on bail for an overdose death waives his right to a preliminary hearing in Rock County Court.

48-year-old David Steptoe is charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, fentanyl, and THC, two counts of manufacture or delivery of cocaine, two counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, 28 counts of bail jumping, maintaining a drug trafficking place, and possession of THC.

Attorney Michael Torphy represented Steptoe Friday morning in Rock County Court where not guilty pleas were entered on his behalf.

Steptoe was arrested last month following a search by Janesville Police and the Rock County Special Investigations Unit.
