Freeze Fest is making its return to Whitewater for the first time since 2020.

Recreation and Community Events Programmer Michelle Dujardin says the event will also welcome back the Polar Plunge and a Chili Cook Off, with both events benefiting Special Olympics of Wisconsin.

Dujardin says excitement has been building after not being able to hold the event for three years, and people can purchase mugs to try out chili for either $5 or $10.

Dujardin says if people should visit the Polar Plunge website if they are interested in registering, or if they want to participate in the chili cook off they can visit w w parks dot org.

The festival takes place March 18th from 11:00am until 2:30pm at Cravath Lakefront Park in Whitewater.
