As a winter storm hits south central Wisconsin, the Post Office is reminding citizens to make things safe and easy for mail carriers to make their deliveries.
Communications Specialist Bryan Reeves says people will need to clear an area in front of their curbside mailbox up to ten feet or clear a path to a door mailbox so carriers can safely deliver packages and mail.
Reeves says if mail carriers feel it isn’t safe to deliver mail, they will bypass a residence which can lead to delays in people getting their mail.
A winter storm is expected to hit south central Wisconsin Wednesday and(Thursday with a wintry mix of freezing rain and snow.
