The Janesville City Council officially agreed to a Memorandum of Understanding with Bird Scooter at their regular meeting Monday night.

Assistant to the city manager Erin Davis says they made some changes to the MOU from last year, including charging Bird a ten cents per ride stipend and a $5 per vehicle fee and Bird will provide route data including start and end points.

Council Vice President Dave Marshick pushed for an amendment to the MOU to change when the scooters needed to be re-parked in the morning from 6:00 to 8:00am, to which the council agreed on upon passing the MOU.

Bird Scooters saw more than 6,400 rides when they were deployed in Janesville last year.
