Nominations for the 2023 Sustainable Janesville Awards are now being accepted through April 2nd.

Solid Waste Manager Matt Robinson says are put on by the Sustainable Janesville Committee and aim to recognize, reward, and promote innovation and leadership in sustainability by businesses, groups, or even individuals in Janesville.

Robinson says the committee looks at several different areas when evaluating nominees including education and awareness, water conservation, use of renewable resources, and many more.

Award winners must live or own a business within the corporate limits of Janesville, and the application to nominate someone can be found on the city’s website.
