The City of Janesville has its new City Manager.

City Council President Paul Benson says Kevin Lahner of Waukesha has been tabbed to lead the city going forward after a months long search process.

Benson says Lahner’s experience and background make him well suited for the position, especially the leadership he demonstrated after the Waukesha Christmas Parade tragedy.

Benson says Lahner did his research on Janesville and is excited about everything the city has to offer and its future.

Lahner will officially begin his tenure on May 8th.
