After a Rock County Board of Supervisors vote Thursday night, the county has entered into another opiod settlement agreement.

Rock County’s corporate counsel Richard Greenlee says settlement defendants include CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, and Teva Pharmaceutical Industries.

Greenlee says the agreement could bring the county up to $5.6 million over the next 15 years, but the actual dollar amount will depend on how many eligible municipalities opt in and the more that do, the higher the number will be.

As of Thursday Rock County had received $1.3 million from previous opiod settlements, none of which have been expended.
