A number of Janesville City Council members took issue with the Milwaukee street renovation project which got underway Monday.
At the regular board meeting Monday night, Council Member Paul Williams says he was concerned that because it is a WisDOT project, the city council and plan commission had such little input on the project.
Council Member Heather Miller says she’s concerned with the reduction in lane and parking size, saying crowded streets and parking could potentially lead to accidents.
The project will see work be done on Milwaukee Street between Main Street and Atwood Avenue until late September or early October.
