A number of new safety improvements are on the way to downtown Janesville.

Janesville BID Chair Bekki Kennedy says in order to make areas safer and increase foot traffic, they’ll be installing new lights, cameras, and signage to parts of the downtown area.

BID Board Member Paul Murphy says the improvements will be placed in what they’re referring to as “The Triangle”, covering the area from The Draft House to the Whiskey Ranch as well as the Riverwalk.

The first implementation of the improvements will take place over the next two months.
