Local Democrats are reacting to Republicans voting the shared revenue bill out of committee during an executive session Thursday morning.

District 44 Representative Sue Conley of Janesville says the current formula simply doesn’t do enough for Janesville and the continues to put the city near the bottom, but she is hopeful something can be put together to get the city more funding.

45th Assembly Clinton Anderson of Beloit says the process has been rushed, having received the bill last week with a public hearing two days later and only receiving a 25 hour notice of Thursday’s hearing.

The bill will now appear in front of the assembly Wednesday.
