Since its inception over three decades ago, the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger food drive has collected more than 1.82 billion pounds of non-perishables for food shelves around the country.

Janesville Letter Carrier Sherri Dorsey says Saturday is the 31st annual National Association of Letter Carriers Food Drive.

Dorsey says residents can put non perishable food items in the provided bags and leave them at their mailbox Saturday morning.

Dorsey says all of the food that’s collected will be divided up between ECHO and the Salvation Army.
