A multi-family affordable housing proposal is being considered in Beloit, and the developer in charge wants input from the community.

Northern Star Company President James Methu says it’s important to see how the public feels, and they want to make sure the community is comfortable with what they’re doing and what residents would want it to look like.

Methu says they want to shore up what core programming looks like, and what types of programs can they put in place to support the homeless population in the city.

The proposal is to develope 120 new affordable rental units at a new site on sixth street in Beloit.

The forum takes place Saturday from noon until 2pm at the Stateline Boys and Girls Club on Maple avenue.
