Beloit Health System is hosting a community safety day event Saturday afternoon.

Marketing and Communications Manager Lindsay Bauman says the event is intended to bring together community groups and hospital departments to teach children about all kinds of safety.

Bauman says the UW Health helicopter will kick off the event by landing at 1pm in the parking lot and kids will get to explore emergency vehicles and will receive a safety pass booklet to compete.

Bauman says once kids visit each of the 17 hospital departments they can turn in their completed booklet to be entered to win Sky Carp tickets.

The event takes place Saturday from 1 until 4pm on the front lawn of the Beloit Memorial Hospital.
