The Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to invite hospitality professionals and individuals in visitor-facing roles to join the Experience Janesville Familiarization (FAM) Tour on Wednesday, May 31. This citywide FAM Tour is an excellent opportunity to explore the highlights of Janesville and enhance your knowledge about the city’s attractions and offerings.

This half-day tour, departing from Uptown Janesville, promises a fast-paced adventure aboard a Van Galder Coach USA bus. Participants will embark on a curated journey with scheduled stops at some of Janesville’s most prominent tourist destinations, including the Rock County Historical Society, Janesville Performing Arts Center, Rotary Botanical Gardens, Skelly’s Farm Market, and Downtown Janesville.

“Tourism is a vital industry in Wisconsin, and well-informed staff can significantly impact the success of your business or organization,” said Christine Rebout, Executive Director of the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. “The Janesville Experience FAM Tour aims to educate front-line staff about Janesville’s unique offerings, enabling them to better serve their customers and enhance visitor experiences.”

The tour is tailored for professionals in visitor contact positions, such as restaurant hosts or servers, hotel front desk staff, gift shop and retail staff, volunteers at attractions, gas or service station staff, media employees, and city employees.

For a nominal fee of $5 per person, participants will enjoy snacks, have the chance to win prizes, and receive an information folder to assist them in their professional roles.
