A 40-year-old Janesville man is under arrest following an armed domestic abuse incident over the weekend.

Janesville Police say officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Mole Avenue just before 1:00 Sunday morning on the report of a disturbance.

Arriving officers learned that John Rudolf Oehrke had armed himself with a gun during the incident.

Oehrke was taken into custody without issue, and officers were able to seize the gun used in the disturbance.

Oehrke faces tentative charges of disorderly conduct while armed, prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and intoxicated use of a firearm.
