Rock County is seeking community members to join its Ad Hoc Airport Planning Committee.

Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport Director Greg Cullen says the group will need to determine whether to continue to maintain and upkeep the existing T Hangars, demolish older buildings and build new aircraft storage units, or let a private investor land lease from them.

Cullen says they’re looking for 5 to 7 people with some sort of knowledge on T Hangars, aviation, or even real estate; and they’re hoping to get the committee meeting in July and wrapped up by late September or early October.

People have until June 15th at 8am to apply for a spot on the Rock County website.
