A number of changes being made to Wisconsin’s liquor laws and regulations under a new bill have the support of the state’s Tavern League.

Government Affairs official Scott Stenger tells WCLO’s Your Talk Show the bill updates laws, puts more focus on enforcing laws in regards to shipments into the state, and there will be a much more robust ability to collect taxes.

Stenger tells WCLO’s Your Talk Show they support regulating wedding venues such as barns because right now those establishments don’t have to adhere to the same regulations a Tavern League venue does for the same type of event.

Legislators in favor of Bill 304 said they’ve been working on updating liquor laws in Wisconsin for 10 years.
