Agencies and non profits in Beloit can now take the first steps in applying for 2024 Community Development Block Grant Funds.

Grants Administrator Megan McBride says pre-application checklists are now available on the city’s website or in person at city hall and the pre-application piece is just to submit their 501(c)(3( status to show they are eligible for these funds.

McBride says CDBG funds are provided to the city to carry out activities which benefit low to moderate income residents, but then they are able to give some of the funding out to non profits to carry out public service and housing activities, along with economic development.

The due date for the pre-application checklists is July 10th, and full applications will begin July 18th.
