The Federal Transportation Administration announces 130 awards totaling nearly $1.7 billion from President Joe Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure law for transit projects.

Director of Strategic Communications Director of Strategic Communications Sarah Lock says the City of Beloit received $653,184.

Lock says the money will be used to purchase a hybrid electric bus.

The City of Beloit will be required to pay for 20 percent of the cost of the new bus.

This will be the City of Beloit’s second hybrid electric bus.
