The Janesville Police Department is making the public aware of a of convicted sex offender who is moving in to the community.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Community Corrections, 29-year-old John R. Berg Jr. is moving to 618 South Jackson Street in Janesville on July 11th.

Berg was convicted of exposing a child to harmful materials and third degree sexual assault in Rock County in 2014. He was also convicted of solicitation to meet a child in Illinois in 2014.

While living in Janesville Berg is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors, no contact with the victims, he’s not allowed to consume drugs, and must comply with standard sex offender rules.
