The Janesville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau hosted 10 trade shows and 25 meetings in 2022.

Executive Director Christine Rebout says that number could double in a few years if the Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center comes to fruition.

Rebout says she’d like Janesville to host the 2024 Safecon event but there’s no place to host a banquet for 800 pilots.

Rebout says when Janesville hosted the event in 2019, they had to bus the participants to Madison for their banquet, and lost some of the overnight stays as a result.
