The Janesville Patriotic Society takes another stab at removing the American flags from the graves of local veterans.

President Tom Stehura says last weekend it rained and they had to postpone the event.

Stehura says volunteers went out on their own on Sunday and Monday and picket up the flags on the graves at Mount Olivet Cemetery, so all that remains is Oak Hill Cemetery.

Anyone wishing to help remove the remaining flags should meet at Oak Hill Chapel at 8:00 on Saturday morning.

Stehura says volunteers should wear comfortable shoes, as it’s a labor intensive process.
