A 25-year-old Janesville man who’s accused of trying to carjack people at Wal-Mart back in January takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.

According to online Court records, on July 14th Dallas Moore plead guilty to a single count of attempting to take a vehicle without consent by use of force with an increased penalty for committing a crime against an elderly person.

Judge Jeffrey Kuglitsch ordered Moore’s sentence withheld and placed him on five years of probation.

Janesville Police say on January 27th, Moore tried twice unsuccessfully to open car doors and pull people out, but they were able to get away.

An officer viewing the surveillance footage at Wal-Mart recognized Moore from previous contacts.
