The residents of an apartment building in Beloit are safe after an early evening fire.  Officials say the residents were evacuated around 6:30 p.m. Friday from an apartment in the 1900 block of Cleora Drive.  The Beloit Fire Department received several calls of smoke coming out of the apartment.  Several area departments responded to the call to assist.  No injuries were reported.  The Beloit Fire Department says the cause of the fire was cooking related.
