Beloit police are investigating an early morning shots-fired incident.  Officers responded to Portland Avenue and 8th Street about 2:30 a.m. Saturday for a report of gunfire being exchanged between two vehicles.  Police say one of the vehicles crashed and the suspects fled on foot.  The other vehicle is described as a dark colored large SUV.  Officers say a large amount of evidence was recovered.  No one was reported hurt.
