Several traffic studies have shown a change will need to be made at the intersection of Beloit Avenue and State Street in Janesville.

Assistant City Engineer Ahna Bizjak says several studies showed traffic volumes at the intersection do not meet the federal warrants for signalization and the city is recommending install two way stops on the State Street approaches.

Bizjak says for two weeks starting Monday the signals will be flashing yellow on Beloit Avenue and red on State Street, then for ten weeks stop signs will go up on the State street approaches.

The study is slated to run until October 23rd.
