A developer appears to be eyeing eight properties next to the Rock River, just north of the Portland Avenue bridge in Beloit.

The Beloit City Council is scheduled to go into closed session Monday night to discuss a potential public/private partnership for development of land and the possible sale of properties.

The properties include four addresses on the 900 block of Third Street, 42 Merrill Street, and three addresses on the 900 block of Second Street.

According to the agenda posted on the City’s website, the council will not reconvene into open session after their discussion.
