A young girl is safe and a 55-year-old convicted sex offender in custody, after what Janesville police describe as an attempted child abduction.  A news release states Janesville police received a report about 5:20 p.m. Friday of a juvenile female walking in the area of North Crosby Avenue and Bond Place, when a man in a vehicle followed her and asked if she wanted to smoke marijuana.  Police report when she refused, the man exited his vehicle and grabbed her by the wrist causing her to scream.  A bystander responded causing the suspect to return to his vehicle and drive-away.  Police say Daryl L. Holloway of Beloit was later apprehended and arrested on charges including Child Enticement, Abduction of Another’s Child, and a Probation Violation.  Records show Holloway has been convicted in the past for offenses including First and Second Degree Sexual Assault and Use of a Dangerous Weapon.  Police say Holloway’s GPS monitoring places him in the area at the time of the incident.
