The City of Milton will have its first Christmas parade on Saturday, December 2nd after an approval by the City Council.

Spokesperson Rhonda Mitchell says she was inspired by other communities like Janesville and Beloit that have similar events.

The parade route will be about a mile long, beginning at Schilberg Park and end at the Gathering Place.

Mitchell says there will be no fee for floats to enter the parade.
