After a months long process, the Milton School District adopted their 2023-2024 operating budget Monday night.

Director of Business Services Ross MacPherson says there was a lot of uncertainty in recent months regarding state aid, but in recent weeks they discovered they’d be able to take advantage of the full $11,000 in per pupil state aid.

MacPherson says the the state pool for tax credits rose by 27% this year, and the Milton School District is eligible for $818,000 in tax credits, so school levy tax credits may increase by as much as 24% for Milton district taxpayers.

Milton’s operating budget totals just under $49 million for 2023-2024.
