A 44-year-old Janesville man is taken into custody on child pornography charges.

According to a news release, Janesville Police executed a search warrant on a home on the 1300 block of MacArthur Drive Thursday after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

An investigation identified Timothy Eastman as a possible suspect possessing images of child pornography.

During a search, police found evidence of the crime, as will as a gun under Eastman’s pillow.

Eastman is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on suspicion of five counts of possession of child pornography.
