Police are still looking for people who might have been involved in an apparent shooting police say rang in the New Year.

Janesville police Sgt. Aaron Dammen says police believe no one was hit by gunfire that broke out moments after midnight Monday at apartments at 1811 Green Forest Run.

But he says police know the incident wasn’t celebratory shots or fireworks like sometimes are reported at the turn of a new year.

Police have made no arrests, but anyone with information should contact the Janesville Police or the Rock County Communications Center.
