Rock County Human Resources is reminding residents to spend as little time outdoors as they need to during this bitter cold.

Rock County Human Services Deputy Director Greg Winkler says there are places people can go to get warm.

Winkler says most libraries and municipal buildings are open during the day time.

Overnight shelters include the GIFTS Men’s Shelter and the Center Avenue House in Janesville, and the Salvation Army and Beloit Memorial Hospital waiting room in Beloit.
