Officials are releasing more details on the tornado that ripped through Evansville Thursday night.

Rock County Sheriff Curtis Fell says they don’t have an exact number of homes that were hit by the storm, but there’s at least twenty that have been significantly damaged and he’s thankful no one was severely injured.

National Weather Service Warning Coordination Meteorologist Tim Halbach says the tornado is currently listed as a high end EF2, with winds that reached 135 miles per hour, but if damage ends up being worse it could bump up to an EF3.

The tornado was the first ever recorded in the month of February in the state of Wisconsin.
