Four of six candidates in the Rock County Board’s two primary races Tuesday now advance to the April election.

An unofficial count by the Rock County Clerk’s Office late Tuesday shows Mike Schwarz and Wes Davis, the top two vote getters in the board’s district 22 primary, will advance to the April 2 general election. Third candidate Denetta Flamingo, who garnered just 20 percent of the vote in the primary, was knocked out of the running.

District 27 primary candidates Tom Brien and Billy Ray McCoy both topped third candidate Spencer Zimmerman to advance to the April election. Zimmerman, now out of the running, grabbed just 17 percent of the votes.
