With the local spring election just a month off, it’s time now to hear from Janesville candidates running for local office.

Mark your calendars for three candidate forums coming up in the next week.

The first is a Rock County Civics Academy’s forum with the six Janesville city council candidates running for three open seats on the council. That’s at 6 p.m. this Thursday at UW-Whitewater Rock County’s Allen Hall Commons at 2909 Kellogg Avenue, Janesville.

Council Incumbents Aaron Burdick and Paul Williams are running alongside Larry Squire, Josh Erdman, Mathew Gonzalez and Billy Ray McCoy.

And the League of Women Voters hosts a forum Monday, March 4 at Hedberg Public Library for the six Janesville city council candidates. The League hosts another forum at the library on Tuesday, March 5 for Janesville School Board Candidates Colton Measner, Susan Johnson and incumbents Greg Ardrey and Elizabeth Paull.
