The West Side Vitality Grant program from the Greater Beloit Economic Corporation is hoping to give a little boost to west side businesses and non-profits.

Executive Director Drew Pennington says the grants are meant to help small businesses pay for exterior improvements like fencing, lighting, landscaping, and signage.

Pennington says preference will be given to the Fourth Street, Liberty Avenue, and Madison Road areas; along with businesses that aren’t located in the downtown Business Improvement District and have no more than 20 employees.
