The Beloit School District will be holding a lecture on breaking the stigma’s around mental health.

Director of Special Education and Student Services Eric Weier says it’s an opportunity for students and families to learn a little bit more about the resources available when it comes to the challenges they may be facing.

Weier says data shows statewide more than half of students reported anxiety and a third reported feeling sad or hopeless, and when they surveyed district middle and high school students, their findings mirrored that.

“Breaking the Stigma on Mental Health” will be held March 21st from 6 to 8pm at Fruzen Middle School.
