The City of Janesville hopes to complete design work on a new zero depth-entry shallow pool at Palmer Park this summer, start construction next winter, and be open in spring in 2025.

Principal Landscape Architect with consultant Parkitecture + Planning Blake Theisen told the Palmer Pool Renovation Work Team on Friday that the location of the current pool is not ideal for the new water feature, which would have a bigger footprint.

The work team appeared to prefer an alternative location just west of Harmony Drive.

The City of Janesville is planning a public informational meeting where citizens can learn more about the project, see renderings, and ask questions on April 23rd from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. at the Hedberg Public Library.
