People who may have been exposed to the measles last week by a person from Dane County who spent time in Rock County can expect a letter in the mail from the Rock County Public Health Department.

Communicable Disease Manager Kelsey Cordova says anyone who was at Kwik Trip in Milton between 2:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on April 21st, or SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville on April 22nd from 1:00 until 5:00 p.m. or April 23rd between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. should check their vaccination status.

Cordova says they’ve been fielding calls from people who may have been exposed, but so far nobody in Rock County has tested positive.

Cordova says the measles vaccine is highly effective.
