The off-road bicycle course be constructed in Janaesville will be called the Palmer Urban Mountain Bike Park or PUMP for short.

Janesville Velo Club Member Paul Murphy says the individual trails pay homage to the former General Motors assembly plant; being named the Blaser, the Suburban, the Tilt Master, the Task Force, the Skyhawk, the Impala, and the Bel Air.

Murphy says the project is over two-thirds of the way complete.

Murphy says the City of Janesville is currently constructing a small enclosed area with moguls, turns, and curves that gets people acclimated to the course. The City is also putting in a 10 to 12 stall parking lot adjacent to the PUMP.
