The Janesville Boys and Girls Club continues to chug along as they try to raise funds for a brand new facility downtown.
Executive Director Rebecca Veium says to this point they’ve raised $5.9 million towards their $12 million goal, and they’ve done so in just under a year, but they need to continue to get the word out as to why they need a new space.
Veium says they’re being fiscally responsible and good stewards of donor funding, because the last thing they want to do is get shovels into the ground and not have the cash flow they need.
Veium says the new facility on Jackson Street would triple the amount of youth they can serve.
