The Rock County Cancer Coalition will be holding their second annual Cancer Honor Walk Saturday at Preservation Park in Beloit.

Executive Director Lucy Beckord says they were looking for not only a fundraiser, but an event where those who have been impacted by cancer could go to a place and be around like minded people.

Beckord says they’re looking forward to the event growing year after year, and in their first year they were able to net $85,000 and the expect to meet or even break that number this year.

The walk will go from 11am until 2pm, and people have until Friday evening to register on the Rock County Cancer Coalition website.
