
Starting Monday, the United Way Blackhawk Region temporarily won’t have a brick-and-mortar location in Janesville.
According to a news release, sale of the United Way’s building on North Main Street is pending, and the purchase of a new facility is expected to be finalized on August first.
The United Way plans to conduct business remotely until renovations on the building are complete.
Officials with the United Way says they were only using 22 percent of the riverfront property that was purchased in 1988.
Big Radio reached out to the United Way Blackhawk Region for comment and were told that the board’s president and vice president were both traveling.
Former President and CEO Mary Fanning-Penny departed from the organization in March.
