The person who was critically wounded during a shooting more than two months ago in Beloit apparently has died.

Beloit Police were called to the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue just after 3:00 the morning of May 11th on the report of shots fired.

At the time Beloit Police said one person was transported to the hospital with critical injuries.

According to the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office, 49-year-old Nikkita Green of Beloit died July 20th at a care facility.

The cause and manner of his death are still pending.

Two suspects have been charged in the shooting – 37-year-old Kevin Payne and 42–year-old Terey Vance, both of Beloit. Vance is due back in Rock County Court on July 31st, and Payne has another court appearance on August 8th.
