A 19-year-old from Beloit is bound over for trial on a charge of second degree sexual assault of a child.
Haiden Wescott had his preliminary hearing in Rock County Court last week where Court Commissioner Mason Braunschweig found that enough evidence had been presented that a felony had probably been committed.
According to a criminal complaint, the victim met Wescott when he skateboarded past her house on June 10th. Wescott later gave the girl a cell phone so they could communicate.
The victim reported that she was at a friend’s house when they snuck Wescott through the window. Wescott is accused of kissing and groping the girl as she repeatedly asked him to stop.
Wescott is currently being held at the Rock County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.
