A home on Janesville’s south side is likely still standing thanks to the efforts of the fire department.  Officials say firefighters were called to a single family residence in the 2600 block of Doe Court a little after 7:00 p.m. Sunday.  Firefighters say smoke could be seen coming from the eves and roof of the attached garage.  Officials are calling the fight “a good stop” in keeping the flames from entering the home.  No one was reported hurt.  The cause has not been determined.
